99/00 cars suffer from mass air flow problems when certain induction kits are fitted, esp those with oiled cone filters, vibration hurts them too....... the standard airbox in not restrictive up to 350 bhp so if your aiming for under that figure id keep the standard air box and fit a better panel filter, green simota etc......

A faulty massair flow meter will destroy your engine in rapid time so be aware

As above really not worth the trouble the oe set up is good enough for 350 + , just add a green pannel filter or similar.

you could also whip the silencer out of the wing and blank off the hole left.

Standard air box is fine and does not cause a restriction intil around 380bhp. Just get an uprated 'green' panel filter.

Thx for your help guys. As i use the car for work etc i will be keeping it under the 350bhp mark so i will be keeping the standard airbox and will find a panel filter for it. thanks again. lee
