as above have just fitted the fmic and my dump valve is working but im getin what sounds like turbo chatter (but it sounds like its coming out of the dump valve) is this normal? and if it isnt whats damage is it doing? im going to be heading to zen for a remap in a month or so before going germany so is it ok to be driven before then?

Hmmm
Did the FMIC kit include an air filter assembly....
Mine did, and it's so much noisier. NICE !
But drove like a nun on Sunday to get to mapping, NO BOOST at all to be safe....
Once mapped, lots of problems with the atmo dump valve. Even softest spring didn't help....
Put std. one back on to cure problems..

I have front mount, no dump valve whatsoever and no MAF, just a huge filter. I also get chatter when coming off the loud pedal. It is due to the air being forced through the turbo and stalling the fins. Can cause damage to early VF series turbos (ie cracking etc) but TD series turbos like I use are much stronger.
This is what I was told from other members on the forum anyway chap.
