UK classics - No aircon as standard - It was an option. I get the feeling about half have half dont.

Jap classics WRX - Aircon is standard on most cars - but removed from RA to save weight. However you do come across the odd RA with aircon.

It was a pricey optional extra on UK classics - the aircon systems were retro-fitted by a company called Cool-Air, not Subaru themselves. My UK MY99 doesn't have it either, and I don't miss it - just something else to go wrong & weighs the car down!

How can you not have Air-Con in this day and age with our clogged up road system?
I had it reluctantly fitted when I ordered my car but now are glad I had it!

I've got a UK classic MY00 - it came without aircon originally.

It was ok for a year as I didnt do many miles in it, 30 a day round trip to work. But then I started to do 180 miles a day, 3 days a week.

So I got aircon fitted, by the original Cool-Air company. Cost £1500 a few months back - a bit pricey but I really didnt want to part with the car as it was the only thing that bugged me about it.

Now I have air con fitted - and damn glad I did too.
