Well, I don't know that it's nonsense: how pathetic do people look when they get banned for being a **** then go to the trouble of creating a new ID, often which doesn't even attempt to conceal their former identity! And why do they come back, yep, just to be a **** again!
Something very lacking in the intellect/mentality of such individuals if you ask me!

I've said this before (and had my comment removed for some reason ) But why don't the mods block the IP address instead of the individual account? It would stop them re-registering then!

Here's why
For many users, the IP address is different each time they log onto their ISP.
Some use different computers on different networks so IP address different.
There are many IP addresses linked to and ISP so ban an IP address and you could stop everyone from that set of IP addresses. e.g. stop everyone on AOL or BT rather than just one as they 'share' IP addresses.
Users could use anonymous proxys too to 'hide' their IP addresses (many of you will already be doing this if using work PCs).
Anyway, I've put forward the solution but I guess the mods don't or can't apply it:
Ban usernames associated with the banned users E-MAIL address.
OK they can create new e-mail addresses but this will too much hassle for most plus trying to remember details for multiple e-mail accounts. Also many e-mail providers don't let you create that many accounts (many are 5 max) and many are not free.

Drac - Many banned users posts are late at night or after they have had a few drinks, I doubt they are at work then! I perwsonally would stick with the idea of banning the IP address. If they are at work and get the whole office blocked then so be it if it helps get rid of the trolls. If I got blocked because of someone else's actions then at least i'd get more work done!
I suppose the only real way around it would be to only issue an account to paid up members/charge a fee for registration. They would then be easier to get rid of and they would be put off registering multiple accounts.
