Stolen rear spoiler....
Came to use the car yesterday only to find that some theiving little ****** has made off with the rear spoiler from my STi.
The car was in covered, private parking away from & unseen from the road so either someone has seen where I live & decided they want to releive me of my hard earned property or some opportunist has come across the car & the spolier is now destined for Ebay....
What's frustrating is that it's taken over 24 hours & 6 phone calls to the police to actually get someone out to check for fingerprints & I'm still waiting for someone to come & take a statement....
Gotta decide now which replacement spoiler to spend more hard earned cash on & fit, either like for like STi 5, or something different. In the meantime if any one sees or is offered a STi 5 spoiler in white in the South Woodham Ferrers / Chelmsford area.................

Cheers for the sentiments guys.
I kinda think it may well end up on "a certain well known auction site", but even if you do have suspicions how do you prove anything without there being any decernable markings, let alone getting it back.....
I've a few things going on at the mo so I'll wait a week or two before sorting a replacement.

Yup. Eyes open for "unusual" car / wing combinations....
Cheers guys. I hope too that it wasnt another Scooby owner........ More likely to end up grafted onto some Escort or other, or flogged on that well know auction site.......

Well, the police arrived yesterday evening to look at the crime, take a statement & start investigating. I must say that they were apologestic for the delay in attending, & dispite the aparent lack of evidence they did take the whole matter seriously.
The PC's view was that as the wing had been "removed" relatively "carefully" without causing much apparent damage, it had been stolen to order - either locally or for someone wanting one elsewhere. I'd hate to think that a fellow "enthusiast" would stoop to such things, but in the world we live in I guess it's a real possibility & let's not kid ourselves that ownership of a particular make of car does not make a law biding citizen......
