ideas on nuts/locking nuts... opinions.
scoobs being repaired and im having the wheels refurbed too - view my scooby for some simple pics. thing is the locking nuts had to be cut off (two each wheel - previous owner lol) as i lost the keys one night.
so id like opinions/links for locking nuts (one per wheel)
and
opnions links on what normal nuts to replace the tired old silver ones. thinking of the neat ones where the nut key fits inside, but im not sure where to look. i dont wanna pay o.t.t. prices for "genuine" articles etc, just something that looks nice and new to complement the wheels.
so...

- what locking nuts to go for and links if possible...
- what normal nuts to go for (16 needed), links and colour opinions.

I wouldnt waste your time with locking wheel nuts.. they can be removed in seconds by anyone with the know how and you only cause your self **** ache when you lose the key... Get a tilt sensor for your alarm if your worried!
The UK turbo i bought recently didnt come with the key for the locking nuts.. this is how easy they were to remove:

You mean the round ones with the fried egg pattern in the middle, like this:
30 seconds!
And you should never use more than one per wheel because they shouldnt be torqued up..

The newer McGuards have a hardened spinning collar which should prevent this (for the amount of time that someone is prepared to kneel by your car with a hammer and chisel, at least).
Any locking nut is relatively useless if you only fit one per wheel though..... With regards to their not being 'torqued up': Ive just fitted a set to another car (not a Subaru) which has aluminium wheel nuts as standard and the McGuard locking nuts are able to withstand a much higher torque setting.

i appreciate your input on this subject davey. the point il try to make is the following. yes it may seem easy to a seasoned professional twoc'er to take the mcgards off within seconds, but if some pikey scum sees one on a wheel, it may make them think twice or put them off compared to not seeing anything to protect your wheels.
its the visual deterance as well as the physical one you see.

ive ended up going for the normal mcgards. my reasoning behind this is if the arseholes want them, theyll have them. performancesubaru.co.uk had them in stock for £29.99 so ive ordered them and also so new prodrive alloy valve caps for £14.95, for my newly refirbed wheels.
