Jaguar XJR - Got some grunt ain't they.....
#1
Had an entertaining drive laste week behind one of these :
Jaguar XJR
It's only a Supercharged 370BHP lump, which is why his turn of speed supprised me.
Managed to stay glued to his bumper down a nice straight section of country road, and was hoping he was gonna hang a right down a more twisty section.
However, he continued on, so was unable to show him up on the twisty's

tell you what has got some grunt
Supercharged Jaguar XKR. Had a go in one round the track recently. It was an auto but stunningly stunningly quick on the straights.
Also had a drive behind an XJR earlier in the year in my early evo on an unknown twisty country road. Could keep up no problem on the straight bits (maybe he wasn't supercharged or he just didn't like the handling on the bumpy road), which disappointed him as he probably thought my car was some jap crap with halfords bits on. What must have really got to him was me sticking religiously to my side of the road while he had to use every inch of both sides to get round every corner.
Didn't even need to give it much round the bends either!
What joy

Great car love them to bits, brilliant in a straight line but a bugger through the twist and turns, Tried the X type the other week that was a beauty too.

Must have some rather silly torque fiqures to heave that lot around !!
Still think they look great (better than Merc S Class !!)
Anyone seen any stats on the new X-Type 2 litre that's due out !?
Is it underpowered poop !?! Still 4wd ?!

Very nice motor - had one for a week from Jag. Loathe to give it back. I thought it was particularly nimble for such a large car. Sod all room for the rear passenger legs though!
