It is with regret I have to report I've stuffed the scooby!
Not some 300mph,triple somersault, **** out action but at....
wait for it...

20mph(ish)

Approaching a set of lights to turn right, lights at green, no oncoming vehicles.
As I turn I hit a patch of diesel, no brakes, no traction and no steering.
I put my arm out to brace my little boy (he was wearing a seatbelt before you ask!) and await the forthcoming impact.
NSF wheel takes full force of an 11" kerb leaving lumps of alloy everywhere and puncturing tyre, wheel forces the wing into the door and we stop!
Wehey! A modification I hadn't planned!
Phoned for a recovery truck who then took it to the garage and I'm waiting for the estimate.
At first look they reckon on no change from £1000, so there'll be no christmas cheer in our house this year.

I've been on to the local council who have told me to put it in writing and enclose the bill and they will pass it on to the contracters who are working there and have been reported for this before. Maybe a glimmer of hope?

I spent yesterday sulking about it and thought this might be a good form of therapy by sharing it!

So merry xmas.
Bah! humbug.

Dude, have a mince pie and be cool. You is OK, Ya kid is cool and ya scoob will be fixed soon.

In the space of having my car for 3 days, I had my passenger door caved in by a hit and run and I too caught my front left wheel on a kerb and destroyed the suspension arm. 3 Days

All forgotten about now though.

Did mine big time on Monday. I think i must have hit a patch of diesel on a roundabout, cause as I came off it (doing about 20mph) the thing just went in a straight line into oncoming traffic.

Drivers front quatre pounded. Paul at TSL is looking after it, goes on the jig saturday to look for various bending. Merry phucking christmas.

completely totalled the other car. driver not happy. the incident officer called me a "bit of a ***." I say "up yours, pig."

Apparently, when lorry drivers fill up their tanks, if they stuck the nozzle right in, then the tank gets filled past its maximum. Consequently, when the lorry goes round a bend, diesel splashes out on to the road, heard this from varoius pi55ed off motorcyclists.

If any one has any black impreza body parts for the said area, I'm all ears.

I'm now due for some good luck. Bo11ocks, just jinksed it.

Wink

At least if the car is off the road, there is no excuse not to drink over the festive period!

Hope the car gets better

Merry Christmas!
Peter
