Default Faulty PSi3 SECS unit..help

My unit decided not to start up this evening before heading home. Tried disconnecting and re-connecting etc.
Screen backing lights up, but no display.

Anyone know if there is a way to reset them?

Been to the PSi3 site but cant find an email address to use.
About to PM them now.

sounds like a display issue so i doubt resetting will help. Either way you will need to see the menu options to perform the reset. Have you tried calling Simon on the mobile listed on his website>

I have had problems with mine, display garbeld up and no display, check the connector inside it loosens with time because of vibrations and causes all sorts of sympthoms like the above, took it apart and and made sure it was connected properly, no problems since

Snazy how did you get this sorted in the end?
It happens to mine since I top mounted it. Just had it lose before.
Seems to be when the sun has been shining ong the dash all day. But other times its been in the cold. Its really annoying.

Forgive my ignorance (and apologies to Simon) but I thought PSi had some difficulties a while back and had stopped making them ?

Just curious as I've got a LCD PSi3 and it's a great bit of kit but always wondered what to do if it broke !

Cheers

They ceased trading a few months back. Their website is now gone.
I've got a few PDF's of all the instructions and that if you need them. Got them of another SNetter.

Thats a shame. Mine came this morning and it seems a great bit of kit. The green connector thing at the back is a bit loose though.

Why has it got other connections on the back other than the ODB plug?

Joey - I've PM'd you ref those PDFs.

As above check inside connectors, they seem to loose connection because of vibrations in the car

had the same problems, no display, or garbled display, could cure it with a bang on top of it but over time it will loosen completely and you have to take it apart

Reggie, I will check the connections properly. Thanks

Edd, I'll email them to you when I get in.

Maybe I should host them somewhere and they can be on a sticky thread.
