Need help in choosing car
Jumping up & down, big waves saying Hello to everyone.
Im looking for some info on a few cars. In the the next few months, im hoping to have around £5000 to £7000 to spend.
Im stuck on what car to get & what version.
The cars in question are:
IMPREZA WRX STI RA
IMPREZA WRX STI
IMPREZA WRX STI WAGON
I live in the Highlands, Scotland, so plenty of open twisty roads for major fun. The car has to be a 4 door version and im planning to mod it.
Ive read everying i can find on the engines, good and bad points. What i cant find is the 0 > 60 & 0 > 100 times and top end of any of the cars.
At the moment im leaning towards the RA version.
So if you had the cash what would you buy and why ?
Cheers

Sti saloon mate. V3-V5 for that money. Personally, I think the gear ratios on the ra are too short for everyday use. They also top out at 130mph because of this.
Th sti saloons have a final drive of 22mph/1000rpm, compared to 16mph/1000rpm. Sti saloons are gear for 160mph+, which is nice to know!
In the real world, there isn't much to choose between them, once you factor in the extra gear changing in ra.

Thankyou for taken your time to reply.
Ok ive found a local car, it claims to be a WRX STI RA. Do the codes below tally up.
Applied Model: GC8C4ED
Option Code: BKC
Engine Code: EJ20GDW5PE
Transmission Type: TY752VB4AA
They want 8000 for this car, seems a bit pricey ?
What does these codes mean?
When I google { GC8C4ED } it comes up with 555, on the car theres the RA badge, but no signs for 555. I dont understand.

Toy/Track car = STi RA.
More usable, family friendly = STi Wagon. Without question.
Was supposed to get one of those (the 5's / 6's are rare as rocking horse ****), but ended up getting a NewAge STi

I choose IMPREZA WRX STI WAGON. It has the best engine among the three.

Where in the Highlands!!! One problem - fuel, fuel, fuel!!! These cars will blow up if you run them on 95ron and SUL/v-power is rare as rocking horse sh*t!! The garage in ullapool does SUL (97 ron) but even at that you'd probably want to run octaine booster for extra safety. My car has been remapped on v-power (98/99 ron) and I'm not convinced I'll take it to Lochinver on hols this year because if I fill up at Ullapool with 97+OB then drive the 36 miles to Lochinver and account for the 36 miles to come back then I'll probably do over half a tank just getting to and from the garage (lets be honest, I'm not going to drive that road slow!!!). Pretty impractical!!
