Hi all,

I am picking up an sti type R tommorow and my dumb insurers dont have the type r on the list, so i've phoned a-quote (i have one years no claims, as i wasnt driving for a year - never had a claim or conviction) and they quoted me £3,323! I live in a nice area, can someone please reccomend a good insurer that'll cut that price down for me?

call aplan insuance you will pay a bundle with only one year andif the car is a import you will pay more maybe you should have looked in to it before buying the car

i'm 26, the car would be parked on a drive and it has alarm/tracker. I havnt bought the car, never would before checking insurance - just shocked how much it is.

I found that Aplan a waste of time got a quote back from them to insure my 05WRX at £1650 fc, where as Direct Line quoted £520 fc.guess who got my money Just have to shop around but as previous post says if its import and only one year nc don't expect too much.

Are you sure you are entitled to 1 years no claims if you have not completed 1 year of insurance?
