Question Help needed, im new to all this!

I am very new to this Scooby lark, and am in the process of looking at purchasing my first one, is there anything I should be wary of? Any known pitfalls with these cars? I am looking at a WRX wagon turbo version 3 on the P plate with 46000miles for £5495, is this a reasonable price? Any help would be greatly appreciated :-)

Pitfalls? Hmmmmm, like insurance? High fuel consumption? The need for 98/99 octane fuel or an additive? Costly servicing and parts? The modding bug?

All, at least partly offset by the grin factor.

But have you done your homework re insurance, and got a few quotes BEFORE buying?

UK cars might be a bit dearer to buy at the ouset, but will be a lot cheaper to insure, and generally easier to source parts for if any are needed.

Thats way overpriced.

You can get a bugeye wagon for £5750:

Subaru : Sport Wagon WRX 2000 MK2

or a '98 classic UK for £4595:

Subaru : SUBARU T2000 WAGON (low mileage)New MOT
