As per title really.

Are the floorpans etc in the base model early FWD imprezas etc the same as the 4wd turbo models?

Ie could you install 4wd running gear in to them? Just my track car needs a new bodyshell, and theres actually an ideal one for me, just its a FWD base model

I can imagine the front being about the same, but if the transmission tunnel isnt there (or as big) and the rear section cant fit the rear diff and suspension, its a non starter, which is a shame, as its almost as good as new...
