Default Scoobs gota go - what estate car?

As above . My MY99 UK turbo has to go as there is not enough room for the baby/dog/pram/misses (tried leaving her behind but its not worth the aggro). So what estate car would you recommend? I know that the scoob isn't going to fetch a fortune so i've got about £2000 to put toward it.

cheers
Andy.

2nd on the GTB - lot of car for the money, very stealthy surprisingly quick, my other car is an STi v3 wagon and the GTB is as much fun.
My GTB has 120k on the clock and still going strong.

p.s faster than an Impreza - GTB held the estate car land speed record for standard production car @ 168mph

The Legacy is a great car, GTB is quick.

On that theme about big, what about an Outback 3 litre???

Got to go for the WRX wagon or an STI one! They are not too big, but big enough to get your gear in and its still as quick as you like.

I had this before and wish i hadn't swapped it. It was a moment of madness!

I would quite like another but there don't seem to be too many in the trader etc.

I have 2 youngens and have never experienced any "room" issues with the Impreza boot.

The dog can stay behind , surely.

The Forester isn't that much larger than the Impreza, seating and leg room wise it's the same so still cramped. A Legacy will be better.

there was a nice legacy estate for sale at my last local club event, think it was just over 4k and seemed a lot of car for that money. Auto tho

If you want to get more miles for your fuel then gotta be a TDi. My second car is a Pug 406 HDi estate (for the misses/kid/dog). Never let me down over 50k and really cheap to buy. Wont do much for your street cred but a lot cheaper than an audi A avant and u might be able to keep the subaru too ...

Mitsubishi Galant/Legnum VR4 Twin Turbo. 280BHP, 2.5 V6 24V. Huge big cruiser, ideal for your needs.

Flame suit on, but this car beat the GTB hands down in every review I've read when I researched it before buying my Impreza wagon.

Just not quite as fast *cough*world speed record*cough*

GTB is better value as well - GTB always seem cheaper than the Mitsi and being a Subaru you can fix it with a hammer and a screwdriver...

p.s I quite like the look of the Nissan 260 rs

Etechnology 2004 Limited - Nissan Stagea 260RS GTR 1998
