got a new car......
but im afraid its not an impreza
ive spent quite a few weeks looking for (and actually buying then reselling straight away as it was cak!) a good impreza. anyway ive come to the conclusion the kind of car im after in my price range isnt out there sadly. anyway i came across something that i didnt actually think i would like. its a bmw 1999 535i v8. its in metallic black, 245 bhp FSH etc absolutly every gadget you can think of, and it was well below asking price (about £2k below). its from a dealer, although i knew the previous owner so got in touch and asked him a few questions. anyway i pick the car up on friday.
so whilst im glad to be getting in my opinion a very nice motor it is a shame its not the impreza i set out for . however my plan is to have this for 2 years and then i will be purchasing a new(ish) sti bugeye....so its not bye for good
out of interest any 535 owners or ex-owners on here?

Hi mate
Glad you got sorted, seriously thinking about keeping mine now.
Thought you'd got all cold feet on me
I just was not prepared to budge anymore on price. I've dropped it 3 times and i had to say enough tbh
i went out last night and i thought why the hell am i selling my car? it really is fantastic.
I just coudl not get a car that goes, and handles like it.
Still i really could do with selling it and getting a TDi, The gf is not best pleased as she bloody hates my Scoob.
Doh

TBH ive saved a bit of money on this bmw, so it was a bit easier on the old bank balance.
it is a real nice car but nowt like the imprezas, more exec/luxury rather than outright sports car, although they still go for a big car with 250bhp.
like i said though i will return to impreza ownership but i think it will be a couple of years yet when i can afford a classic sti
