Seems a bit ropey if it has a few scuffs.

what is teh overall condition like?

are the pedals worn? is the gearknob or steering wheel shiny?

if so then they are telling you porky pies and it has doen more than 11k miles.

Might be worth spending 100-200 quid getting an expert to check it out.

good luck

Agree, be very careful here, its very easy make an engine look clean with a power wash, wear signs cannot be hidden though so look at the obvious signs.

Hang on a mo. You saying its only got two stamps in the book? These cars need a oil change every 6months regardless of mileage. Without FSH to back up its mileage its worthless

sounds temting but be careful, id rather have a 40,000 mile warmed up, cooled down, looked after car than an 11,000 thrashed without mercy from 1 mile car. i bought a 15,000 mile car which wasnt anywhere near as good as the 35,000 miler i had before. and i also know of someone who ran an impreza for one month with speedo connected one month without..

i would sooner pay thousands less for a car with more mileage than worry about buying this inflated priced one !!!

As pointed out above, the oil should have been changed every 6 months regardless of whether the car was used.

I would want to know more about this car's history. At the very least I'd suggest a full specialist inspection.

Pity, as if it's a genuine car, you should bite his arm off! A classic with 11k is ULTRA rare now and it won't be long before the value of good classics goes up!

The general condition of the car does not seem to tally with the mileage - I would have thought it would be immaculate.

Is it possible its got a new speedo or something?

It's possible that the prev owner was just unlucky in the car park etc, but it does need looking into carefully.

if it had an induction kit and dump valve I would stay well clear unless you knew the owner - smacks of an owner who dosn't really understand the car

Emmmm, as pointed out, regardlesss of mileage, there sould be stamps in the book every 6 months from it being new
Take your time looking through the service history as pointed out already, should have a service, then, 6 months later an oil and filter change, then 6 months after a service, 6 months after an oil and filter change ect ect till the present day
Im selling mine soon, in mint condition with 65,000 on the clock, mint condition, full service history (mainly from Prosport) and im looking for £6000 ish (new tyres and system too) but it is a minter with Oz 18's (with 4 brand new tyres), so id do more homework if i were you
Theres plenty knocking about, but not many minters in my opinion

Once you've got it, come back and do a SEARCH on dump valves, induction kits and exhausts before you buy. Will save you even more money and hassle but do search before asking

Hi and welcome,I bought my 2000 uk spec turbo with 27000 miles, full service history and cam belt change for £6400,the car is immaculate and with a nice private plate,so i would have thought that £8000 was maybe a bit steep?
Good luck with whatever you decide anyway,do whatever feels right

I would say if you're unsure then walk away.

If it doesnt feel right, it probably isnt right.
