Default Aircon

Hi guys and girls been away for a bit family things and the scoob, now supporting a new rear diff 2x rear wheel bearings, new brake pads all round and a new Exedy clutch,

Right back to the post , when you push the AC button on your dash wot should i hear, when i push mine nothing really seams to happen, ive checked the fuse and its fine and there is gas in the system the belt is on the pump and the pump spins without any noises,

1. Set blower on low
2. Set temp on cold
3. Push AC button

On my other cars there is a front fan that cuts in and you see the revs change as an when the air con cuts in, so wot should i be looking for , it seams cold but not chilly, i really just dont see any change in the car running with the AC on,
Any help would be great

mick

I think I am right to say that if the refrigerant is low the compressor will not kick in.

Mines stopped working too... the light works when you press the a/c button... but the compressor don't kick in...
Think / hope its just a re-gas...??? Anyone???

Octain... you sure the compressor kicks in...? as the belt runs round the rear of the pulley... its only when the compressor kicks in the front half kicks in...
When the compressor kicks in the revs should rise and you should notice a differance in temps in the cabin...
