Early Christmas Present from Powys Police!!!
#1
Just got back from 2 weeks holiday to find a nice letter from Central Ticket Office Powys Police. Exceeding Temporary Speed Limit (70.60.50 MPH) Recorded Speed 78mph 23/11/01 A4067 CRAI POWYS (60MPH).
I think this means I was doing 78 in a 60?
Just includes a form to tell them who was driving - what happens next?
Will I get a fixed penalty of an appearance in court?
Anyone else get caught (Network Q Week)?

Yeah my m8 LEE.P got dun on the Neath duel carriageway, was quite bad really cos we had been in convoy for most of the event and literally split up for those 2 miles,as I went along the road my Bel 550 picked up various intermittant signals so I backed off.........we then saw a van in a layby with the rear doors open,so I presume it was them what nicked him........Shady B.stards

Commiserations - I too have an early Xmas present - in court on 20/12/01 - hope the magistrates are feeling festive
Have a look at speedtrap bible for advice, I think you may have a get out if you don't know who was driving - probably a longshot but worth a look.

Do the hand held detectors work in the dark ?
Came upon a set up late one evening last week on the Sennybridge to Crai climb. Car was parked towards me and they looked to be `holding something ` ???
Cheers

You could put in your reply to the police "I have no comment to make" as it is down to them to prove beyond reasonable doubt to who was driving the car at the time of the incident, the above is just a little bit of information that is available on the Uk speed trap site http://www.ukspeedtraps.co.uk/eulaw.htm
Huxley
Ps. as they say if you give them the information that is as good as self-incrimination ?

got caught off a bridge on the m4 2 & a half years ago doing 75 in a temporary limit (50) for road works, got sent that form asking who was driving so I sent back in the same post so that I did not p1ss them off saying it was me and I never heard anything again . I was relieved though because half mile earlier I was doing 140
