MOT DISPAIR-HELP NEEDED
currently have a sti version 6 classic year 2000. i've just failed the very(stupid) strict northern ireland mot.
1. my original jap lights do not produce the correct beam pattern, apparently they have no 'kick up' point?
2.my car dash was changed to mph, but now the want mph and kmph on the speedo dial.
has anybody experienced these related problems and help?
would a sticker in kmph be suitable and if so where do you get them?
do any of these after market headlights eg depo crystals produce the correct beam pattern?

hi mate if you change to white dial's they have mph and kmph on them, try lockwood dial's, and your head lights just get a mate to change them for the test.........

New speedo face Ebay £14 or your local graphics place for stickers. My local place does them £5, Where are vyou in NI? Have you tried replacing the bulbs? The cheaper bulbs can cause this beam pattern poblem. PM me if you need any more help and I'll point you in the right direction

thanks for the replys, good to know your out there.I'm near comber and this is the second year the mot has failed me on headlights(last time i got the girlfriend to put it through the retest and it passsed).
new bulbs were tried but the only beam pattern they could get was a flat line but apparently you are suppost to to get a pattern like this
__/ or for a lhd car \__ ( i may have this the wrong way round)
i'll try gibsons in bandbridge today.

Mate has a Hawkeye UK 06STi with discharge projector lights and these only have a flat beam with no kick up. Can't see what the fuss is, find a friendlier tester.
