Default Complete de-tango

Hey all,

I want to completely de-tango my 00 turbo (see pics under profile).

I want to replace indicators, side repeaters, side lights (i cracked the back of one, ) and I want to replace rears with STI's. Plus I need to replace my fogs due to stone cracks.

A few questions on this:

1 - I want really quality parts, pref genuine subaru. Can anyone recommend a good supplier?

2 - STI rears - will my fog light still work? (uk car, I understand jap cars dont have rear fog lights)

3 - Fitting, I have heard about rear light replacement causing water in the boot, whats the best way to avoid this.

I dont want to spend a few hundred quid on cheap ebay parts and be disappointed.

Thanks.

I did this to my MY00, bought a crystal pack from flat4online:

Crystal Clear Pack Silver Vision Bulbs Subaru Impreza 99-00 Flat4online.co.uk Subaru Impreza Mitsubishi Evolution EVO Walbro Fuel Pumps Injectors Intercoolers

£95, I'm no perfectionist but they are good enough quality for me.

STi rears, done that also but didn't seal them properly and yes they leak - need to reseal them better.

I have done the normal mod to them, where you put a red bulb in the right hand light in place of the reversing light - you only need one reversing light.

I bought a red led bulb from here:

Hey StiX,

Thanks for the reply - link looks good.

And good tip for the rear fog too - I assume thats cool on MOT's?

So how do you seal the rears then?

Thanks for your help mate.

I think that's the problem with mine, didn't apply new sealant.

The bloke I bought mine off helped me fit them, and reckoned they would be ok and they are not!!

I'm not sure on sealant name - silicon sealant perhaps?? Can't remember now?

Asked the garage that services the car to look at them but they were on about a gasket that they couldn't get hold of??
