There are quite a few about - you are unlikely to get reg's posted as the Police use them for all sorts of opp's other than just catching speeding cars
Northants has 4 (i believe)
Hampshire 1 or 2 dependant on the bodyshop
Leicestershire one green one i know of - guess what, this one tends to wave back!
There is a white one with lights and all up near blackpool - frit me to death
I was up the A1 a couple of weeks ago, watch out for marked cars sat in lay-bys - plod leaning out of the window with the radar gun

Was speaking to a copper who's beat is around Egham and surrounding area. He told me that they've got scoobies (not standard either) as well.
If i find out any more I'll let you know.
As a side thought, same said copper also told me I'd be lucky if I kept hold of my car for a month as apparently it's the ram-raiders choice of wheels at the moment (it's a 5dr btw). What a cheery thought!

I've been told that Skipton now has another unmarked one, silver this time.
So, keep your eyes open and speeds down round there cos they like to throw the book at you for speeding in that neck of the woods
Cheers

There is a Green Unmarked Impreza Turbo reg number T*** FAP that operates around the M25 area. Saw it a few weeks ago on the turnoff for the Tolworth Roundabout on the A3. Heavy traffic coming off the A3 so got a good look at it. First of all thought it was a normal Impreza until I saw inside and saw all the equipment on the dash. Also has a small black ariel on the rear passenger side wing. Driver seemed OK though as when he saw me looking at his car he gave me a wave!

Chelmsford Bill had an Evo on trial not so long ago. When the shift changed, allegedly, they would fight over who got the keys. When you see the co-driver reading pace notes.

Right then, Skipton scoobs
There are 3 marked scoobs, you can't miss em really! A DBM V463 FVU and a Silver one, not sure of the reg
They all have prodrive mods and go quite well, I used to work in a body shop where they get fixed
Bob
PS the Cossie has gone btw, aswell as the mondingo's

Notts police (northern division) have a couple of scoobs, but they're done out in company livery - white with a foot wide yellow stripe down the side, full roof rack in blue, and matching lights in the grille.
They're based in Ollerton (Sherwood forext area) so I suppose if you're up the A1, you could see them between Newark, through Markham Moor(Lincoln turn off, MacD's , and a Happy eater with a funny shaped roof) past 5 lane ends (Worksop Turn off) and up to Blyth (start of A1M)
But to be honest, you probably won't see them as they like to sit in nice wide good visibility 30 zones, where there have never been any accidents, pointing their gun up the road at EVERY car.
There's also speed cameras on the A1 at Elkesly in the 50 zone, but they're well signposted.
Mark,
who feels sorry for Scooby coppers, cos they have to hand it back at the end of every shift. But not that sorry.

Bob T and the Skippy lot,
Doesn't Skipton also have a dark blue unmarked Prodrive one as well as the Silver one. I'm sure I've seen it parked in Settle police station car park.
I don't think they've still got the Escort Cossie...
