im sure the shape of them is different, i have an my95 wrx, bought a spares mirror for the motor etc and it was off a 98 model and the shape of the mirror itself was slightly different,if i had fitted it it would of been obvious it was wrong for the car

They *should* be exactly the same ...but i have seen & indeed purchased from a well known auction site an 'impreza' mirror which was the wrong shape ...slightly bigger & squarer ...thought it was from a bug eye but it turned out it was actually from a Legacy!

Yeah, they are a different shape, the pre facelift mirrors are squarer in shape.

Hi, I had a hit and run near miss head on, and my drivers mirror got hit and the inner supporting plastic broke. I have a bug eye, the outer painted plastic, and all other bits are fine. I can glue and tape for the MOT on friday, but can anyone tell me which Impreza mirrors are compatible as i need a long term replacement part, there are quite a few 1999 and 2000 for sale! I'm sure many others would love to hear what fits what? Cheers guys
