Default painting panels

Hi guys,

just wondering if any of you out there know roughly how much it will cost me to get a drivers door painted for a 1998 classic.

i need a drivers side front door (had 1 offered but so far not the right colour) so was wondering how much its likely to cost to get it painted the right colour.

also, whilst on the subject, i will then need the right sticker to go on the door to match the rest of my car (big subaru swoosh thing) do you know anywhere i can find the stickers for an idea on that cost aswell?

thanks for your help,
Chris

ps: im based in canterbury so any decent bodyshops in kent that can do it would be a bonus

If you took a bodyshop a FULLY STRIPPED door, they would probably paint it for between £100 and £200, depending on their reputation, workload, availabilty of paint etc. Are they to fit it too?

DON'T make the mistake of getting the cheapest.........you get what you pay for, and DO ensure it'll be done with two-pack paint.

As regards the stickers, a visit to a signwriter might help, try YP, for one that does laser cut vinyll. Can't say on the price, they would probably have to do an entire piece to get the bit you need, so not cheap.

Thanks for your reply, i dont know if i will get them to do the whole strip, paint and fit, i was looking for a rough idea on cost for all the various stages. That way i can make up my mind what bits its worth me tackling myself if i have to.

Im sure i could manage most of it but it would probably take me alot longer to do it than i can afford to not have the car on the road for hence looking for prices.

Any ideas on how long it would take for a bodyshop to paint the door and fit it?

again, thanks
Chris
