WRX Service Interval?

yes, it's strange how the same oil lasts longer in some cars than in others. Maybe subaru are just erring on the side of caution to try to prevent piston slap claims under warranty.

Thanks chuckster - same as my MY99 Sport.
Would have thought Subaru would have done something to up the intervals - seems quite a short distance. Miss SWRTWannabe's Clio has something like a 20k interval!!

Don't think that the oil in your WRX will last 12 months! The thermal stress on the oil is very high in a turbocharged car, and if you drive your car properly (ie hard! ), then it will get knackered quickly. A lot of people change it after track days or every 3,000 - 4,000 miles anyway.
