End of the road ?
am perhaps closing in on 10 years of driving the impreza. Been the best car I've driven, started off with the mcrae then had the P1 for last six years. So many changes in my life, one thing always been constant and reliable in my life - the Impreza. So many times I've thought its time to go, not least when some scum bag knicked the spoiler, scoop and few other bits off my P1. In ten years of driving only thing thats failed was the interior light bulb. Not the best build quality, but totally reliable car.
For the past 3 years I've had two cars, the Scooby as my pride possession and a Citreon diesel as my 2nd car. But time has perhaps come to move on, can't continue to think about where I should park the P1 or if its going to be there when I get back.
Am looking at the New Merc 320 CDI sport. Something a little more refined, okay less hp (224) but massive 510 torque, combined with luxury, comfort and a car less attractive to the arseholes out there.
Sad time and no doubt I will regret losing the P1, more so after I had it re-mapped, but think this day comes to us all at some point.

I've been in a similar position over the last few months Ash. Spent a small fortune on my sti8 over the last year but its in the garage too much and hardly gets used for various reasons. Think I need a car that I'm going to get some use out of for work (BM/ merc) but keep putting it off...............

Well, had mine for 7 years now.
Kept it standard - no need to get to the back of the queue up front any faster than I can in mine.
Solid, reliable, dependable and being the wagon - it does everything I ask of it ..... lugs rubbish to the tip, carts us all off to Cornwall Camping, takes me to work and back, beats all the kiddies in their chavmobiles and just delivers the goods non-stop.
I have loved other cars more (Calibra) - had more 'fun' in others (MX5) - but nothing can touch the All-Round ability of the Impreza ...... nothing!
