autosport.com - WRC News: Pirelli chosen to supply control tyre

oh well at least everyone else will be at an equal disadvantage for the next 3 years

And to think Subaru have just managed to ditch the crap tyres in favour of a company whose bread and butter is off road tyres.

Should make things a bit more interesting at least.

Anyone remember how desperate Ford were to ditch Pirelli??...with good reason too...their tarmac performance was shocking....everyone can improve of course! (they're old tyres used to spin on the rims...how many times??? who knows...you could never tell)

If its a control tyre, it doesn't really matter... level playing field and all that....

BF Goodrich is a rebadge of michelin.... Michelin is the experience in WRC... you are correct, BFG make good OFF ROAD tyres.

A Michelin/BFG control tyre would have been the choice for performance.
