Default Anyone live around Nottingham area ?

I'm off to Hull on the train to pick up my new Scooby Thursday 1st and have decided that I can't have a standard exhaust
So I'm calling into TSl on the way home to have a deres section and a backbox fitted. I looked for directions on RAC but they are vague ( and wrong ), question is will I have any trouble finding my way back to the M42 from TSL ? Enabling me to get to the M5 and then home
Last time I went to Nottingham I ended up staying on the M1 and then M25 then M4 to Bristol ( that was a bloody long way )

Probably not mate. From TSL head out through Plumtree towards the A606. Turn left and up to the big roundabout. Follow the A52 straight on at the next roundabout and after about 1 mile, take the slip road onto the A453 and follow that all the way to the M1. Head south and bingo, half a mile later you are on the A42 / M42.

That's the easiest way...

Keyworth to Bristol!!!

I would go down the M1, M25 and to Bristol.

Head towards Loughborough to get on the M1 that will shorten the drive rather than heading back to Notts. You can Also head towards Leicester on the a52 to joint the M1 at Leicester Forest East services.

Don't forget, the M42 doesn't actually join the M1 - at that point it's the A42. It turns into the M42 at Tamworth.

OR, you could go down the old Fosse Way. It's mainly straight B and unclassified roads. Runs from Leicester to Bath/Bristol area. Probably not too well signposted though, but is a good drive.

No-one's mentioned. It's J24 where the A453 joins the M1. J23A (about a mile further south) where the A42 peels off from the M1.
If you miss J23A, turn off at J23 and follow the signs for Ashby de la Zouch, that'll get you back to the A42.
