06 STi and PPP
I am currently toying with getting my 06 sti ppp'd, but some have said it's not as noticable as on the 2.0L engine. The car currentlly has a TSL rear box and deresonated centre section which makes it feel a little more responsive and sound good. Obviously I would like to Get TSL/ powerstation to do a proper job on it but I still have 2.5 years warranty so dont want to go that route yet. Has anyone owned a standard 06 STi for a while and then got PPP later?, if so, what difference is there.

Can't answer your question but, I am thinking of going down the same exhaust route as you. Can you tell me what the sound is like now compared to stock.

unbelievable difference. At first I just changed the back box for a TSL group'N', which made a bit of a difference , but the key to it was changing the resonated section for a straight through one. The flat 4 sound is back, but it settles down nicely on a motorway etc. The car sounds better than my old My04 did with a prodrive back box.

Was considering just going the de-res route first as I think this would get the burble back but may do both now. How loud is it, my neighbours have small children so don't want to be a nuisance, although I would like it to sound like a beast so to speak, undecided.

I had my 06 Sti PPP'd at 1k miles and the difference is very noticeable. It pulls much harder in the higher gears due to the increase in torque which also makes the car much more drivable but if I was not concerened about warranty then I would have gone the custom map route for sure!
