Default IC water spray light?

Hi seems at the moment when im giving my car some stick this light appears on the dash in high revs.

Ive never noticed this before and was wondering if my car was spraying itself automatic?

Just indicating this would be a good time to press it?

or if its a fault?

I will admit i was playing with the stick on the dash marked trip to re-set the petrol milage counter to see what mpg im getting. This did not work just kept moving from an A to B light. I havent got a clue what this means but could this have something to do with the IC light?

My other concern is when the IC spray light appears a red light flicks on next to it (not every time) but goes off too quick for me to tell what it is?

Any help would be cool so i can sort any faults out before its too late

Cheers Mark

I have got an 03 STi and my ic spray light only comes on when it is running low, i have never heard of it doing it automatically.
I constantly reset my trip meter between every trip for work purposes only and have not noticed anything flashing.
Check the water level in the spray, if there is plenty in, then you will have to get it sorted.

There are 2 trip counters, A and B.

If you press the button it switches from one to the other. If you hold it in it will reset whichever counter it is on.

Or maybe you hold it in to change and quick press to reset. Can't remember which way round. Have a play and see.

i got worried when that happened to me. you just need to refill you ic spray bottle. they not that big so you will fill up every couple of days or that may be just how much i pushed the car when i got it

It's not the gear change warning light on the rev counter is it?
