How many people would have known you owned the car? It seems a bit fishy that it went so quickly.

Looking at the pictures it looks to me like it was bought from the Keighley Trade Centre

It was stolen from the kirkintilloch area

It was a fresh import, but had just had an alarm fitted but no tracker

and you were right about where i got it, i must admit i did wonder at first
about that as i only got 1 key with the car, but really dont think that what happened, just trying to think about every possible way it could have happened

but the car wasent started anywhere near my house or i would have heard it
since it woke up some neighbours when i got it home on friday night

Im sorry to seem like the 'untrusting type' but this seems extremely dodgy.

You had just bought the car, and it had an alarm (was it a CAT1?). 24hrs later, without any noise or fuss its nicked.

Something aint right.... and you need the police to be hot on the sellers and importers of that particular car.

Edited to say: Im really sorry for you too mate, not the way the amasing feeling of owning an Impreza should be started. I hope the theives crash it and die.

The reputation that place on here is worse than ****. I'd advise walking around the corner to see if it is there as that's how far it probably got before breaking down.

Gone in 24 hours, that's sickening. I've had Imprezas for 8-9 years and luckily I've been ok (touching wood here!) When you get it back or get another get a disklok, the best anti theft device money can buy, forget trackers and immobilisers. I've had one on all my cars.

As bad as the reputation of the Keighley Trade Centre is, there are no grounds for posting these potentially libellous accusations, which could land Simon and Shaun in a bit of hot water.

Oh, it's Bubba writing this, btw.

It does say on the front page that the veiws and opinions stated on Scoobynet are not the opinions and veiws OF Scoobynet. We're entitled to think what we want, if Keighley trade centre made more of an effort they wouldn't have the reputation they have, as the saying goes '**** sticks'.

Bullit (and others)...................I know these guys personally. The reputation of the garage in certain quarters is not good but suggesting they stole the car back is bang out of order.

Your "opinion" is slanderous no two ways about it.

Fair enough Rich but your "opinions" are wide of the mark; have no factual substance and remain slanderous.

Guess we'll agree to disagree so to speak. Perhaps the mods will cast the deciding vote.

post up and check the alarm fitters , wouldn,t be the first time an employee of an alarm place has used friends and inside knowledge to obtain a car obviously you may of just been extremely unlucky and got the car just as a pro thieving scumbag spotted the motor , has there been any other motors nicked around your area or have any others been attempted to be nicked , what alarm did you have fitted and have you asked anybody in neigbouring streets if they heard your car start up ? wonder if anybody else who has bought there car from a certain garage or had an alarm fitted at a certain place has had there car nicked so soon ? ........
