Default Buying a 2007 WRX import. Advice please..

I am thinking of buying a 2007 WRX from one of the import dealers advertising on this site. It is a parallel import, but I believe that it is identical to a UK sourced one, apart from no alarm, but I can get a good one fitted easily enough.
As it is such a good saving on a UK sourced one, are there any pitfalls?
Anyone bought a 2007 model from these dealers?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated before I take the plunge...
After all they are all imported !!!!!

Every subaru in UK is IMPORTED, all made in Japan, litchfields supplies them with a Cat 1, RFL ON the road for£14995.

Check for underseal as well.same as uk car apart from underseal, locking wheel nuts and car mats i think. cracking saving.

I bought one in 2005 and have had no problems. It doesn't have side airbags (but they may do now), no locking wheel nuts (£7 off ebay) and no alarm, which you know about. Any specialist will fit a cat1 alarm for £200- £300. You also have to pay the labour on the 1000 mile service (about £80). Resale value may be lower, but when you are saving £5k or so, I still think I got a bargain!

Agree with everything Mark said above.

Mine doesn't have side airbags, but has lovely huggy seats.

You will also lose the Subaru assist and if you buy from Motorpoint you may also lose a couple of months of warranty, as they register them when they buy them.

Lichfields may be different in this respect.

I saved £5K off list. If you intend to keep it for a reasonable time, it is a major bargain.

It's the same car as a UK dealer one.

Why WRX? Not STi? If like me you'll regret not going for an STi!

Place to go for import is BLUCHIP DIRECT LTD - JAPANESE IMPORT SPECIALISTS - TEL 01481 200390 - email - sales@bluchip.gg - Jamie works there - top guy and will answer any questions you might have.
