Can anyone please tell me what the max speed should be in each gear for a UK MY00?

The question arises from an incident at the weekend when I tried to boot it in 4th, at about 5000 to 5500 rpm, and basically not a lot happened. I don't think it was the half-boost problem (see Pete Croney's recent thread in the Drivetrain section) as the boost gauge seemed to be showing full boost. But the car just felt as if it had run out of steam, and I certainly couldn't have pulled away from a Maxed up Cavalier. OK, I've only got about 2700 miles on the clock, but I haven't experienced this in 2nd or 3rd. Any ideas?

You should easily be able to redline it in 4th - about 120ish

Ditto, had 120 in fourth, car is standard apart from ss backbox. 60-65 in 2nd, 90 in 3rd. Can't say about 1st(gets to the redline to quickly)
