Gutted
Woke up this morning to find my driver side wing smashed in, looks only to have damaged the wing. (My03 Sti)
Any ideas how much this is going to cost me, is it worth claiming on my insurance (think my excess is 300).

Oh dear m8, gutted for you....
If it needs a new wing, and its a metallic or pearl colour, then the repair cost will be higher than £300.00, but not by much.
Best off paying the little bit extra yourself and take it to someone you trust, rather than jeopardise your no claims, and have your car repaired by whoever your insurance decides....(probably an insurance approved place where quantity is more important than quality)
BTW, if you do go through your insurance, you can demand to have it repaired wherever you want anyway, they just don't like it...
Neil.

It really sucks when something like this happens. Happened to a friend of mine in Nottingham. I came out to help her, took photos of her white car and noted carefully the paint traces from the other red car. Then I meansured the distance from the road to where the damage occured and went off in search of red cars.
An hour later the police were called to the owner of a red car with white paint traces. Took a lot of debating back and forth, but in the end the photos, measurements, and threats of paint analysis to prove the point got the admission we wanted. The police were very helpful (took them a while to arrive as it was a non urgent matter). On top of the evidence I was presenting, I believe they added threats of failing to report an accident should the red car driver continue to protest his guilt.
May be worth a try?

Have a word with David at API. I had some road sign flip up in Belgium a year or 2 ago that went round the wing & wrecked it. He had a WR Blue wing in stock for £70 ish iirc. It just bolts on.
