Please Help a First Time Buyer - help!!
Hi,
Ok my bmw 325 cost of repair is too much now, so I've got my
eye firmly fixed on a turbo 2000 type impreza.
thing is I can't find any, where the hell do you go about buying one
of these?
There doesn't seem to much choice or any near me!!
I'm in stockton-on-tees near Newcastle/Durham.
I don't have a big budget it's only 2K ish. But my bmw 325i saloon cost me 1600 and I got a good three years out of it, and it was great fun.
So what's the best strategy for picking up a 2kish impreza turbo? I'm just having no luck, they all seem to be estates or non-turbos ! If there are any, they seem to be bloody miles away.
Am I missing something?
Is there a scooby club near me where I can get some advice?
apologies for being on the cheap side, but budget is the budget....
help! I've driving a renault laguana now, so put me out of my misery. Quite a come down from a 325 six cylinder thing.

Yeah, It's one thing buying it and another maintaining it bud.
If your on a budget, I have to say it's not the car for you.
For 2K your looking at a nail.

what's the difference
Hi,
Ok so looks like impreza sport is my only viable option.
I'm getting lost aren't impreza sport turbo as well?
what's the difference between say the 2000 turbo and sport?
Is the difference really worth the extra money?
Are turbo really that more expensive than a 325i? That used to drink petrol like god knows what. But only oil changes and new tyres / exhaust in those 3 years.
Seriously if I did have a turbo, is it really only good for 3 miles ?

Not a great deal in difference...
well apart from the sport not having a turbo - and as a result no bonnet scoop.
Not sure about other differences though :/
I quit drinking and smoking to fund my cars upkeep

The sport is just a straight 2.0 litre engine and you will have to screw the danglys off it to get any sort of performance out of it but it looks a good car with the right bits on it ..wheels, exhaust, spoiler, back box but i doubt very much that it would keep up with a 325 BMW.Take a test drive and you will see what the turbo can do but for 2k its going to be a lucky dip and any faults could cost you a lot of bucks and to be honest i have never seen one that cheap but good luck anyway
