Default **** cleansing with pics

No, not that type

I've always been rather '****' when it comes to keeping the engine bay clean, i just like things to look nice and new

So today, i've removed the TMIC from my STi for some deoxidising

Power sander - detail sander - wet and dry.

Planning to finish it off with some clear lacquer to keep it nice and shiny

Am I mental?

Just a very light dusting with the sanders to get the worst stuff off then elbow grease with the fine wet and dry. Its actually come up better than I thought, i'll pop pics up when it's back on, just waiting for the lacqer to dry

The lacquer won't stick to the bear metal one little knock and it will start to come off also the air commin throgh the scoop at high speed will make it start to flake off too. And the rubber seal rubbing on it could make it come off then it will look a mess? Your best bet is to use wet and dry papper starting with not too coarse papper then work your way to a very fine paper then use a cutting polish then a coat of wax, with enuf elbow grease it will look like a mirror
