Dangerous driving....
Does anybody know a good Solicitor?
I was followed/ pulled over by police in an unmarked Volvo last weeked for "racing" an Escort Cossie. He then proceeded to tell me that i was guilty of dangerous driving, carless driving, racing and speeding.
*** DELETED AS SUGGESTED!!!***
It is just seems to have been blown out of all proportion, and worse of all i expect that I'll get a harsher punishment than some illegal immigrant who doesn't have an MOT, insurance or a license to loose
Any ideas????

i was given a TS20 (wreckless driving) for overtaking 3 cars and a lorry on double solid white lines, and there was an unmarked cop car in a layby who saw everything, but the only reason i overtook on the double white lines was that the car behind the lorry wouldnt let me in so i had no option but to overtake, i still got 3 pts and £60 fine, my previous insurance company told me that they dont worry about sp30 ts20 etc etc etc its the drink driving etc that makes the difference

Seek a specialist motoring solicitor, ABD website has a link to solicitors across the country. Dont post anything further on this site and delete your original post, to protect yourself.
You will need to get the video for alleged offence and fight it tooth and nail. A good solicitor will do this for you. Be warned if this isnt handled professionally, then you could end up with a custodial sentence.

Pepipoo is a good start to get background info, but I think you will receive further comment to seek specialist advice.

He did not clock your speed, he only made an estimate! No other Police officer was with him - it's all down to the video evidence I guess - If it shows you "were racing" then you have'nt a leg to stand on! All you can do is deny it - and deny it if you were not guilty of racing!
If you were racing - tbh, you should have had more bloody sence!

ive had a similar one here mate, i was overtaking a car in a 30 zone, at speed, (before the tuts - the road is 1/2 mile long, totally straight and wide enough for 4 cars!) the blue lights appeared the traffic cop was alone with his video off though (he worked out how fast i was going by the sound of my engine!!! lol), so he had no proof of my speed tried me for dangerous driving, called his bluff and said go to court -- with the risk of losing my paperwork -- and got NFA. Also ive been on jury before in court, and he would have to prove that you were over the speed limit. innocent until proving guilty. Get a good motoring sol to view the tape see what they say thou! Good luck!
