i had them on my classic when i had 18's on it, didnt cause me any problems, make sure you can still get 7-8 FULL threads on the nuts though... or consider buying longer studs if you cant..

That is so true or you will live-up to your name!
With domed nuts you cannot readily see how many threads you are engaging.
The usual engineering rule is the nut should engage 1.25 times the thread diameter minimum.
Thus a 10mm bolt for example has a nut engaging 12.5mm of thread.

You will not get full purchase until you are at about 1.5 X D in steel, or 2 X D in ally.

I don't know if this is the case with all cars, but when I lowered my TT, and then put spacers on, the inside of the rear tyres wore down a hell of a lot quicker than the outer edge, I had to add some adjustable tie bars to correct this as it were costing me a fortune in rubber!
