2500-3000rpm (approx) you should hear the turbo spool up.
Always worth while getting a boost gauge as the turbo will boost but if it only goes upto 0.5bar its in limp home mode.
It surprises Subaru didn't stick one in a standard when they designed these cars.

Hi, I've just bought my first Turbo car to, an 05 WRX STI PPP. Which is the best Turbo Boost guage to get, and how much do they cost?

Also are the easy to fit or does it have to be professionally done?

Thanks,

Jas.

Depends on how much you want to spend the cheapest gauges i've found are from here Automotive Dials Gauges pods t-piece

I'm getting my gauges by someone who knows what they are doing (personally i'm not keen with messing about with pipework in the engine bay)

Muahahahahahaha

Even if they HAD, it wouldn't have made it over here, it would have been JDM only.

Like all the other stuff they left off the classic UK cars:
decent spoilers,
folding door mirrors,
POWER,
TORQUE,
decent brakes,
rear wash-wipes,

the list goes on.......

And all for a MERE £22000, (in 1998), when the Japs were paying £16500 for a hotter, better specced version.

Nothing changes..........
