Default Service Costs

My 2006 Sti is due its first service so I have rung my two nearest dealers, one quoted me £280 the other £130 - I thought these were set figures and how the hell do you substantiate the huge difference? Anyone else got the cost of their first 2006 Sti service for me to compare? Maybe one actually mixes gold dust with the oil.

£280 They made a mistake a 2year/20km service is possibly £280

The 1Km service will be around £110- £140 mark, although Parts prices will be the same dealers hourly rates vary, ask for price match and SIDC discount

IMHO

My 1k service was around £40 - parts only, labour is free. I'm in for the 9k service later this week and was quoted around £170.
