Default roll cage = better handling??

one of my work pals seem to think adding a roll cage to his mini will improve the handling, is this true? i cant see how having a cage will have any effect at all on handling. Maybe me been thick, but ive never heard of this one.

Makes the shell stiffer, hence not as much flex in the corners.

Definatly improves the handling when its on its roof, otherwise it 'could' stiffen the chassis but i would think the weight overrides that.

Are minis big enough to flex with hard cornering?

Most Mini's are quite old now aren't they.

Bet the shell's aren't as strong as they once were.

This will only work if the cage is welded-in to the floor, the A/B/C pillars and for the Mini, the bracing goes to the subframe points.
