Default Anyone fitted Prodrive 330mm upgrade?

Hi

Does anyone have first hand experirnce of fitting the upgrade to an newage?

I am thinking of buying a set, but they do not have the instructions. I've fitted callipers before, just wanted to make sure that there's nothing particular to catch me out!

I don't suppose anyone has the instructions scanned?

Only slight complication is that I have braided hoses, but I guess they should be compatable....?

Thanks very much!

Are they much/any noisier than standard newage 4 pots?

Much improvement?

Thanks again!

Hoses work OK - just get some new copper O rings.
There's more no noise, a little more brake dust and they are in a class way above the std brakes, but there are other kits just as good.
The problem will be the price of pads and discs when you come to change them!!
Mine managed 35,000 miles but that included a lot of motorway driving.

Thanks very much.

Even more brake dust.....! Do they take a little more time to warm up are get working?

Any idea where would be best for the o-rings?

Wouldn't you be better of with a set of ap's? What year is your newage?

Thinking of getting some AP's for my 05 WRX before the summer, probably the 4pot 330's to save on weight as much as possible..

Just need to find the right (£££) supplier..

I think I would rather stick with the Prodrive callipers. Been offered a new set at a rather good price!

Car is a 2003 WRX PPP.

GE90 the only thing to bear in mind with the prodrive kit is that when it comes time to replace the discs, they will cost you £500.

Thanks....

Not expecting to have the car by then! Hope to get 20K + out of a set...?

Do they make the pedal feel any more responsive at all? Already have braided hoses any fluid chg.

Cheers

You will get much better initial bite and response from the brake pedal.

I've got them on my MY05 WRX. Their acyually Alcon kit badge as Prodrive. AP is actually better but got mine at a good price.

Biggest problem is the Pad and disc costs at replacement time.

Difference between standar and these is huge. Powerful consistent brakes with very little fade to date.

Dust doesn't actually seem to be that much worse!!

Thanks for the replies.

My main concern is pedal feel and effort. Wasn't able to convince myself that changing the callipers would improve inital bite, thought that is was more to do with servo pressure....

Would anyone have a copy of fitment instructions I could have... please?

Did anyone fit the uprated rear brakes at the same time? In understand the theory of brake balance etc, but anyone fitted without?
