'i' grille badges
Bit of a random question but I can't remember seeing it answered before, just wondered what the 'i' on the grille badge of JDM classics stands for exactly?

You know those mornings where you just can't see the wood for the trees?

I thought it was the logo for "STI", but why would they have just the last letter as a logo?, maybe wrong.

I actually asked someone this once and they said it means "Import". I think I've only ever seen them on imports so must be true?

Think the 'I' badges are standard on Jap STI's. As far as I was aware I think it stands for the I from STI.

My JDM WRX bugeye has an 'I' badge on the grill. I is for Impreza! I remember reading that in japan the Impreza is sold as a marque rather than just a model.

The JDM classic shape STi comes with both the badges with I or with the stars, both with a pink background.

Nah, only messin.
The Imprezas were originally a concept of the computer company Apple?
They kept the i there as a bit of respect to there founding fathers - true to there roots, holla.
Anything with i on it takes off pretty well, iPod, iMac, iTunes etc
