Can anybody recommend a reliable hire company. Already contacted Bill Gwynne as we go back a bit.
Look out for the Birdmeisters rally comeback in something interesting...............**** might even be a Subaru
Yesterday at Bedford has got me juices flowing.
Will be looking for a co-driver possibly too. Will keep posted.

Question

this might not be much help, but I am sure I remember someone talking about a company on the south coast called 'motorsport 22' or something similar to that,I remember thinking the description sounded a bit like Bill G's.

hope this helps,
steve

I believe Kenny McInstry does car hire. WRC Impreza is £8000/day
+ insurance and service crew, not cheap but obviously depends on your budget.
Autosportif who run Roger Duckworth's Impreza might also hire. Unfortunately don't have any contact numbers/details to hand but could find out if your interested.

Just searched on Yahoo and came up with this

http://www.langworth-motorsport.co.uk/

"We can supply everything you need whether you are a beginner who just fancies having a go or a serious competitor who wants to do a full season.

All our packages are tailored to suit your needs and your pocket, from full Arrive and Drive packages to just a basic car and back-up"

They've got a Scoob for hire as well

Cheers,

Ian.

Cool

Hope this will be of some use - A local motorsport dealer near me has two hire cars - both Subaru Impreza's. I think their web site has a special page all about the hire cars and pictures of the cars - www.townendgarage.co.uk.

I bought my car from them Subaru Impreza STi Type R. I've recently had a GEMS engine management system fit and mapped and it's transformed the car. They are very helpfull and always willing to give advice.

Impreza Babe.

Red face

you sure you are still up to it Birdy?

Which championship?

Looking like we have a full championship asault in the pipeline for the 2002 BTRDA series with our GroupA Cossie. Fancy having a head to head with my team again?

Why dont you buy a GroupA cossie mate, gotta be more cost effective than hiring, you can pick up club spec cars at silly money right now!

You can even buy a groupN spec RA for under £10K if you shop around, not top spec of course but put a set of 50mm DMS on there and you will have a pretty competitive car. You dont need to spend a mint to be competitive if you can drive and you "used" to be OK. LOL

Have a look in the back pages of Motorsport News, always rally cars for hire in there.

Thanks for all the replys. Done the Motoring News bit and sent a few e-mails lets wait and see.
John I`ll whip your **** again mate
Seriously I dont want the hassle of buying ,storing and getting loads of people to rely on again mate. Due to work and family commitments I just want to go and have a laugh.
One serious asphalt rally and maybe a gravel one later. Just want to know what its like to drive a mans car
Will keep you posted when I get some response and I look forward to a few spectators turning out
