i'm a 23yr old wagon driver!! Wagons are nicer in my hum-bell opinion!!!

Plus i can't exactly whack all my fishing ear in a normal one can i!!!

Infact, i can get 5 bikes and 5 people, INSIDE my wagon!!! with barely any fuss!!! can't moan at that!!!

i think i have got old fast!

It simply means that there are quite a few "older" enthusiasts out there who want to combine a bit of performance and some practicality.
I'm within a couple of years of that defining "65" moment and up until the last few years drove estate cars as I needed to accommodate my passion of rather large R/C model aircraft! ( Got a feeling the Scoob wagon would not be big enough) Some of the money (and time!) I used to spend on that is now put towards my current lowered, big wheeled, instrumented, 340 bhp STi!

Some of the younger ones here might think "Smug old git" But hey, like me, you've been through it and out the other side!
I remember being declined insurance on a Lotus Cortina back in 1964 at the tender age of 19!

Five bikes _or_ five people perhaps, my Legacy estate is significantly larger than a wagon and I can't fit in five bikes as well as five people

Personally I think its good that "older" peeps own and show an interest in these cars... it means less "boyracer" types a*sing around in their cars showing off and doing donuts and what not !! Actually... come to think of it.... I know a few older peeps that still do that ! If fact my dad told me the other day he's thinking of getting an EVO!!!! WHAT !!!!???????

nope, 5 bike AND 5 people... Ive done it most weekends i've owned the car.

Obviously all seats taken up with people, then both wheels off the bikes, and stacked up flat in the boot with wheels going anywhere possible flat on the bikes, in between bikes where there is space where the pedals may create a gap as the bikes sit on each other etc etc.

As i ride all around the UK regularly, whenever i get a new car, a couple of us will play for a day at different ways to fit things into the car in the best way (sad *******s...????)

There is always a way, and it's never been the 1st way i've found...

one of the 1st ever scoobs I saw properly was a brand new P1 being driven by a 70 year old pensioner

Apparently he only use to use it to drive to the post office to get his pension

I think there are a lot of mature years drivers of Impreza's if you really look.

I'm 55 this march, drive responsibly on the road, and race it on most weekends from Easter to October.
Just I race on a track.

I'm not sure if the Impreza is seen as a Chav Car, but as prices fall you will always have an issue of imature driving (not always from those of tender years...) and the Cossie/XR3i etc all went that way.

I think it a credit to the car's design that it appeals to so many of all shape/size/income/AGE.

i've only ever seen 1 OAP scooby driver and that's the miserable ****** that lives near the end of my road.

waved a few times at first to be scooby friendly, but after getting glared at for a reply i wave like a nutter and flash my lights every time now just to **** him off

nice new shape wagon aswell
