Default Replacement Fog Lights

Any suggestions?

Mine are the original (classic MY00) ones - both are cracked quite bad.

Any links, suggestions etc to replace as is, or change to something different.

Cheers.

Easy and obvious answer is to ditch the useless fog lights and fit driving lights. Extra main beam lights, that fit in the same hole and give more light when you need it, when you're giving it some beans down a twisty back road. You'll need some rewiring too so they come on with main beam rather than with sides or dip like the fogs.

Have a search in Electrical (easy to find because this post will no doubt be found there shortly..). About a week ago someone asked the same question and Alcazar answered with a list of possibilities, including the legendary 1000FFF HID's from Scoobysport.

Go for a set of PIAA driving lights at about £250.
Still the best lights around, unless you want to spend £600 for HID's

Cibie Oscars are 'Only' £59.06 each inc VAT
Just as good as PIAA. They do different beam patterns as well
Fog, Drive or Spot
I am getting some brackets made up to mount mine. These will be suitable for all pendulum mounted spots so I will let you know when i have these made up and maybe start getting a few sets for sale once the design is perfected. .

Cibie Oscars are way too big for the bumper, it has to be the Oscar Plus. That's what I had originally, and are really crap compared to the PIAA's I replaced them with (hence the cheap price).
Also the H2 bulbs they use constantly blow.
Scoobysport used to sell them, but had no end of problems with the blowing bulb problems.

Were your Cibies running on their own power feed an relay?
I have never had a problem with them on my last cars, even running 100w bulbs

Theres a few companies that do replacements, not sure if im allowed to post names/addresses anymore here!

Not cheap though, so looking at upgrades might be a good idea.
