Question bug STI PPP or Blob STI

so looking at the stats (for what they're worth), i see the following

Bug STi 0-60 5.9 secs
Blob STi 0-60 5.2 secs

So if you knock of 0.4 secs for the PPP pack therefore

Bug STi PPP 5.5 secs
Blob STi PPP 4.8 secs

So does this mean that a standard blob STi is still quicker than a Bug STI with PPP???? (on paper)

Cant be right can it??? I know that blobs have more torque thats why they are slightly quicker than the bugs but surely a 40hp increase must make a bug quicker???

Any answers???

PS - merry christmas

Not sure these figures are right. My mate has a blob STi and mine a bug STi. Nothing in them mate. Mine used to be a bit faster I think, but his engine seems to have loosened up a bit and they are near identical. neither got PPP.

When i was looking to replace my classic two years ago had the chance to drive a bug sti with ppp and blob sti without back-to-back at a subaru garage in Cambridge preferred the driving experience of the non ppp blob eye, liked the handling and the old fashioned all or nothing power delivery.
Also "woody" you may think our cars have similar performance but your always behind me when it matters!!!!!

So do you get a less shove in the back with PPP cars due to to fact they have more low down power before the turbo spools???

On my test drive on real roads and with a sales man next to me the ppp powered STI7 (bug) felt no faster and sometimes even quite lazy (if possible for a 300 bhp car)compared to the other car, granted there may of bean a problem with that particular car but at the time i had no proof of that,
also worth noting is that the exhausts on ppp powered cars don't sound nowhere near as good as the aftermarket exhausts you can buy,the first thing i would of done is change it!!!

Don`t think you would be dissapointed with any of the 2. I`ve got an 05 STI PPP and its quick enough for me.
