Default STI flat battery and stereo security codes

My 53 plate STI has another flat battery which I need to replace. My question is, do I need a security code for my standard stereo to get it working when I replace the battery as I have misplaced the stereo manual. I have found a 4 digit security code with all my other stuff but have no idea what it is for. Cheers

I thought the same, but even though my alarm handbook talks about this keypad, I've never found it in my car

Hi mate, your radio doesnt need a code, that code is for the keypad under the steering column on the drivers side its a little flap that pulls out says fuse on the front of it, sti's are pronne to battery problems you need to run with the sidelights on to activate the smart charger, if you do a search you will find your ott the only one with these problems its happened to me quite alot

Just 3 things to reset after battery disconnection:

1. Clock.
2. Rev warning light setting.
3. Radio channels as it loses your saved stations.
