Default Euro import warranty issue

Can ayone offer me any advice on the situation of warranties on euro import cars? My MY04 Sti has developed the usual clonky suspension fault, which my local Subaru dealer say they won't repair under warranty. (Initially they said they would, then changed their minds at the last moment - they had even ordered the required parts).
What they are now saying, is that as I don't have the original warranty and service book from the dealer in Cyprus (The one which I have is one of Motorpoint's own), showing the original date of first registration in Cyprus, then the warranty is void.
Any Ideas???

Speak to Colin at Cheam Motors, Cheam, Surrey, Subaru Main Dealer. He is very helpful, tell him your problem.

More likely that cars from motorpoint were not being supplied with the correct documentation - unlike cars from specialists like Alliance or Litchfields

Did you register the car for warranty purposes with IM subaru UK when you got it if so then there should be a record which you can show to the dealer. Alternatively you could try contacting cyprus supplier direct and ask if they will nonour the warranty as all warranty work has to be approved by them anyway as they pay for it. Let us know how you get on

Contact International Motors to check it has been registered with them. If so, your warranty should be honoured.
