Morning, right im thinking of ditching my 309gti, im fedup with the reliability and i long for something 4wd, with a turbo and decent handling and naturally the sccoby is a good choice

But what should i look for, what would be considered a good year 98 onwards maybe?

What lets the scoob down, pistons made of chocolate? how do they fare when the mileage gets high

Im sure you will find what your needing to know, by searching through the many threads... sorry cant be of more help, but the car you choose will be your choice, as regards to spec, downfalls, weak spots, my advice is read and make your own mind up

Good advice, i have noticed there's a lot of opinions which i always take with a very large pinch of salt anyway

After what ive spent on the 309 and got in terms of gains it's a bit of a rip off albeit it a 220hp ripoff

Piston rings have gone and that's pretty much the straw that broke my back, me old man has a colt and that's been nothing short or superb, very dull and gutless mind
