Cool The Twisties

enjoy the forum, nut have noticed that there is a lot of
' he 'll do you on the straight, but you'll take him in the twisties'

now, was thinking to go to the nearest track open day, me in my MY05 wrx, standard, friend in his '03 focus RS, standard.

now, these twisties, are they a selection of flowing curves, where a clip of the apex will do no harm, or are they a congregation of hairpin bends.

Or have i completely misunderstood the whole meaning of ' the twisties' and they are actually a place somewhere in England.

Cheers

Country lanes on the public highway is probably the illegal version of twistys but i am sure every one is referring to track day event...

not that I used the cliched term myself but if I was then I would be referring to good, tricky A&B road stuff.

Cars such as the Evo and Impreza are legendary for their ability to cover a lot of ground very quickly on these type of roads.

It's the technical term for driving fast on real roads

Rather than all these dead straight motorways people seems to drive on. I don't think they exist outside scotland or wales; given people cant seem to fathom how a car can be immensely good on them yet not great on the track.
